Upon the Winds of Love

I remember one night

As we walked hand in hand

A rose secretly clutched in your sweaty palm

The wind frolicking through your locks

And mine swiftly gone upon the winds of love

Fear danced in your eyes and hope kindled beyond your darkest fears

My name engraved upon your thoughts

You gently pressed the rose in my palm and with tears in your eyes you whispered

,
"Remember, roses are nothing without thorns, and life isn't always bright.

But choose joy, dream without fear of the future, and live as if it's your last."

I'd reached to wrap you up into my arms

But was it a dream

'Cause I found my arms around myself

Me

Dreams, reveries and fantasies reflect what our hearts desire most. The worst part is how we feel upon waking up.
