Untitled Thus Far

Give me the mountains,
Give me the snow:
Overthrowing a parent’s dream.
I found in myself,
In the world as we know it,
Frays at the seam.

    Bring me the ocean,
    Sands etched in memory,
    Kissed by moonlight and mist.
    You’ll fall in love
    With the world as I’ve seen it;
    Blanketed in serene bliss.

       My home, my opinions,
       Learned by the sea.
       The cold,

       The winters,

               They’re all a part of me
