(Untitled)
Heart lightens when the body grows lighter
Songs of praise drip from honey lips
Better to be called one than to feel like one,
But strung up syllables can’t replace belief.
Still waters glitter bright
Yet run deeper than river sprites
What is seen is unfound
In a mind caged and bound.
Pent up emotion
Seething at the surface like an ocean.
Ready to erupt molten lava,
A segway into the newest saga.
What other eyes see cannot be,
The cure to self-reflective glaucoma.
Sweet semantics should not be
The roots of the individual’s tree.
The body grows heavier when the soul’s roots bloom deeper.
And the sky grows brighter without the fantasy of the reaper.
An island is built where the truth is spilled,
And where the glaucoma is killed.
I pray you to begin to see,
The true worth of you and me.
Together we can conquer
The path to becoming stronger.
