Until Next Time

Sweet smells of ink

rusted cold metal shelves

inviting me

a cozy chair

steaming coffee

the cover envelops

Each page an adventure

I sit still

Yet travel

Pushing the boundaries

A sweet musty aroma

Beckons me

Each page a new conquest

A far off town

A lonely village

Each book a journey to the unknown

family within a paper

friends within the ink

love within the cover

my life outside reality

close the book

comfy chair, empty mug

thank you for the adventure

until next time
