Until Liberty Deserves Its Statue

Awake.

Arise.

Don’t you hear the people’s cries?

Don’t Scream.

Don’t Yell.

It’s useless – the gun’s hammer already fell.

Police Line.

Don’t Cross.

We’re all very sorry for your loss.

Statements Taken.

Coffee Brews.

The story plays on the morning news.

“Shots Fired.

Death Ensued.

A nation in distress – constantly in feud.”

Violence Rises.

Trust Disappears.

With news like that who can blame our fears?

Another Dead.

Another Killed.

One more plot of dirt to be filled.

Public Outcry.

Mostly Words.

The lines of freedom and justice have blurred.

House Divided.

Cannot Stand.

What the hell has happened to our homeland?

Blacks Here.

Whites There.

Others discriminated against for their type of prayer.

One Nation.

Under God.

When the fuck did the system become so flawed?

Don’t Quit.

Hope Remains.

Change will be worth all the struggles and strains.

Fret Not.

Worry None.

We won’t stop until equality is won.

Each Day.

Begin Anew.

Don’t stop until liberty deserves its statue.

Get Up.

Speak Loud.

Fight for the unalienable rights with which we are all endowed.

Greet Today.

Act Purposefully.

Work to better the nation and world permanently.

Beep Beep.

Don’t Snooze.

Today is a fight we cannot afford to lose.
