Unprepared

Location

It came as a claw

With tearing nails

To break something special

It came as a disease

Sickening the heart and stomach

Angry, sad, heart broken, frightened

It came to make plans of terror

Bringing tears from pictures and memories

Bringing questions asking why

But bringing no answers

It came after It listened to Their fight

Now, in different homes, They support and protect

The best They can

It came

But we were unprepared
