Unequal and Different I Am

Location

Thump.      Thump.       Thump.        Thump.      Thump.       Thump.

In.               Out.              In.          Out.

Proof I am human runs through my veins.

Proof that I am alive and functioning shows everyday.

Everyday people prove the same.

Everyday I wonder, am I really different?

Different is bad they tell you.

Different is unequal.

Unequal we are not,

Unequal I refuse I am equal because I was born with a heart but unequal because of my soul.

Soul is deep and not seen.

Soul is weak by society's boundaries.

Boundaries I want none of,

Boundaries I want to be freed from, to break the chains that twist around me never letting me up, never letting me breath.

Stop.

Wait.

I am beautiful.

I am intelligent.

I am boundless.

I am freed by my mind.

I am not equal to you and that is brilliant.

I am not threatened by your capabilities that make you unequal to me.

I am tired of the thought we all are the same.

I am not to be grouped with the teens today.

I am unique.

I am so very different and,

I am Human.
