Understanding
1 Corinthians 14:11
11 Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the language,
I shall be a foreigner to him who speaks,
and he who speaks will be a foreigner to me.
He speaks and I don’t understand ... it seems a kind of rattling.
I wonder what He is saying ... but I can’t figure it out.
Maybe He is speaking riddles ... even though most is like that.
There are so many languages ... who can figure them out?
The Spirit has His own language ... that man can’t understand.
Only spiritual men have ... a sometimes-deeper insight.
This language is there to edify God and has little to do with man
Who is just an observer ... for his “spiritual” is seldom right.
So a foreign language may be spoken somewhere else
Also the heavenly language seems foreign on this earth.
Why should we deny the things far beyond our knowing?
Is it because of pride ... that disintegrates our own worth?
