I used to wonder
if the undersides of Clouds
got sad
because they could never see
the bright and shining sun--
and then it would rain.

Or if Shoes ever get tired
of carrying all of the weight
of life
and of being abused
by the rough ground--
becoming rugged.

Or if the Sand
of the ocean
ever feels pressured
or like it's inescapably drowning
underneath the superior majesties
of colorful fish and sun rays.

But then there came an instant
when I realized
Some Things are most beautiful
from the Underside--
making them self-less and strong
unlike everything else "above" them.
