Unapologetically Me

Unapologetically Me

Ever since I was a little kid
I always spoke out
Not knowing that my decisions then
Would forever change my life
Giving me the strength to refuse to blend
But rather making me stand out
Giving me confidence as my mountain
To stand on top of and shout out
I will be something worthwhile in my life
I won’t give in to cheap thrills
That seek to distract me
And take my life
I won’t be ashamed of the name
That God has born me into
I will be proud of the sound
That calls me to speak out
Because that is just who I am
I am
Unapologetically Me
