Ugly vs. beauty

Mon, 02/26/2018 - 14:51 -- adaly

People like to define others

Put them in certain categories

Call them ugly

Or make fun of them for whatever reason

Honestly, there’s no such thing as “ugly”

An elderly woman may smile

And show she has no teeth

A teenage boy may be laughing

But you see a face full of acne,

You see a hairless cat crossing the street,

There’s a trashed building,

Graffiti all over it,

There’s a ditch with trash in it,

Some people call these things “ugly”

But they are beautiful!

The elderly woman is beautiful

There is happiness radiating from her,

Along with the teenage boy

Having a fun time

The hairless cat went to her little baby kittens,

In the trashed building

There are stories in every piece of graffiti,

Emotions behind them,

The ditch has that one beautiful flower that lights up the place.

There’s beauty in everything

You just have to look for it.
