The two Captives

Two kingdoms lay side by side

The ruler of one was to be my bride

She’d be the queen and I the king

Together, peace we would bring

In the darkness of the night

They took us in a fight.

They Split us apart

And shoved us into two separate carts

We were separately imprisoned

Where we both were decommissioned

Plotting my escape

Even in my wretched shape,

To thwart my captors plans

and to return me and my bride to our clans.

I disguised myself as one of them

Then set off to find the future Mrs. M.

When I found her, she was not willing

so I just escorted her out of the building.

When she saw who I was she gave a frown

but when we got home lay two ruined towns.
