Try To Keep Up

I got it the first time you said it

Now Bob’s fallen asleep

Now I’ve finished today’s assignment

Now I’m on to History homework

And there’s still 39 minutes to go

You’re on the 5th explaination                                           

Half the class isn’t paying attention

Half the rest are confused

Half the rest will never get it

And there’s still 27 minutes to go

Even you’re getting bored with this

This is supposed to be the highest math

This is supposed to keep my challenged

This is a challenge to stay awake

And there’s still 15 minutes to go

Oh good, you’re explaining it one more time

Try to get through to them

Try and explain it in yet a simpler way

Try to keep up

And the last 4 minutes will drag on forever
