The Truth

i was trying to make something honest,

but neither one of us was being honest.

living in an idea of being in love,

but it wasn’t with you.

i can truly say i was thinking of him,

waiting on him to get himself together

and tell me something that will make my heart jump.

he is like a bird,

and just like that he disappears.

the love fades,

but the mind craves.

the heart wants him to appear,

but the love knows that its better distant.

honesty, that was never a problem for me to you.

you know every feeling i felt,

every word i spoke,

every mistake i made.

he is like a bird,

and just like that he disappears.

when you appear,

i’ll be ready to love you again.

when you disappear,

i’ll be ready to accept the hurt that come with it.

then again, i know you’ll appear again.

the cycle repeats.
