Trees vs Men by Glena M. Waterhouse

A tree,

     Swaying in the wind

          Whispers of peace,

               of love,

                    of tranquility.

Trees come in different sizes,

     Different shapes,

          Different species.

Yet, they only know one thing,

               They are Trees.

But men,

     They talk of hate,

          Of greed,

               Of power.

They are all different,

     Yes, the same.

Each one considers himself

     Better than the other.

You might see an Elm tree growing by a Maple,

There are no conflicts.

Maybe because trees can't talk

But I am sure if they could,

          It would make no difference.

All that matters is they're alive.

It doesn't matter who's growing next to each other.

I think it's about time we took a lesson from the trees!

Don't you???
