The tree and the watermelon

As a watermelon
On the Earth
Rooted, not strong
Kissing burning dirt
While to me the tall tree beared no shade
Stood by me with no shame
Not one leaf above me
And that hunger for the weak
For the sweet
Came trailing in tin
To hunt
And I the runt
No climbing his trunk to get on
His fruit on his branches where the only
No space for the watermelon
Pouring mouths carry me away
Slice me up for their childrens
Poor tree gets cut down
Pounded to paper napkins
To clean me off the lips of her
Apple doesn't fall far from the tree
but watermelons don't get far either
