A Treasure Unknown

I always hear what you were like,

in stories my father tells.

I wonder how close we'd be,

if I had known you well.

I know you would have spoiled me,

like grandpas always do.

I know you would be proud of my dad,

and me too.

Now you're in heaven watching over all of us.

I will treasure the moment I meet you.

You and me, us.
