Trayvon

Location

I'm angered to know that stories like these exist

Slavery is over yet we allow racism to continue on

Years ago racism was dressed up as Jim Crow

Now we got a little fancy and named it self- defense

I apologize he was out walking so late

I'm actually even more sorry that we choose to negate

The true problems that arise with stories like these

Would he have gotten shot faster if he whistled at a white girl

Would his body have been dismembered if he had a book in his hand

Stories that date back farther than my generation can remember

Everyday before I leave the house I go through crazy drills

What do I do if the cops decide to pull me over

Where do my hands go I get it being black is a crime

We are all Trayvon's & Tamara's so beware when you leave your house

African Americans get shot and no one is responsible for calling the cops...BANG!!!
