Trans Stereotypes

Just because I'm trans

It doesn't mean that I'm confused

They say "You're not supposed to like your body

Nor feel confident too"

And I've learned to live in quiet

Hiding who I am inside

But no matter what you say

I'll only push your opinions aside

Just because I'm trans

It doesn't mean that I love fashion

Actually that's very wrong

Music is my passion

No, I don't wear makeup

Nor am I a Drag Queen

In fact all of your silly stereotypes

Make me want to scream

Just because I'm gay

It doesn't mean I have a high voice

It just signifies who I am

Cause this was MY choice

I don't like Lady Gaga

And I don't listen to Macklemore

Actually My Chemical Romance

Is a band that I adore

Just because I'm gay

It doesn't mean you can beat me down

Cause no matter how much you try to win

I will never stay on the ground

So stay away if you don't

Agree with who I am

Hate me all you want

I will never give a damn

I am gay, I am trans

And I am happy as can be

Because I'm okay with myself

And I'm good enough for me
