Tragedy

Wed, 12/04/2013 - 16:36 -- Kaiari

See the blood pooled in her hands
See her stranded in the sand
As the water, slowly ebbing
Comes to bring final demands

See the emptiness that lies
In once careful, watchful eyes
And the hollowness that fills
What had been a great disguise

See her hair tossed all around
on a cold and gritty ground
and a heart that bled too much
For someone already drowned

See the vacantness that's there
where dry eyes, in death, still care
and two arms still reach in sorrow
for who should have still been there

See a little further still
Cast against some small foothill
lies another, lost for longer
in the ocean's deadly chill

Lost in pain and lost in hurt
lost in wishes to revert
Lost to worlds so full of hate
with no adequate comfort

Two so lonely, Two so blue
but two never would be two
only one would long for more
Only one chose to ensue

So both drowned in misery
in a lifeless, heartless, sea
and thanks to life's brevity-

Each died alone,
but left together.
