Tomorrow

Thu, 09/19/2013 - 01:59 -- Pochoki

Everybody talks about tomorrow

Is there something so special about the day?

I was told to clean my room this instant

but I suppose if there is a tomorrow, I would rather go play!

Yes, there will always be a tomorrow!

I tell the world, "Come what may!"

These dishes can wash themselves tomorrow!

How about I go sleep instead, what do you say?

Tomorrows are wonderful things!

Ring! Ring! I pick up the phone--

"Your parents were in a terrible car accident--"

But it seems starting tomorrow, I am to be all alone.

Narrator:

And despite her joys about tomorrow,

the little child realized that sometimes there was none,

and the things that should have been said today

cannot be said after everyone is gone.
