Tommy.

To Tommy,
First off, fuck you.
Nobody asked for you to exist
You just popped up, out of the blue
To give me not just one huge problem but a whole damn list

I never thought I'd be the one to meet you
But fate made it so I did
You're the only thing I wish I never knew
I hope no one else will, God forbid

You took me from everything I cared for
You put my life on hold
You beat me down til I couldn't take it anymore
I was broken and unable to be consoled

You had to go.
I couldn't leave you with me any longer
You were killing me, that I know
I couldn't let you feed off me, get any stronger

So I let them cut you up and throw you away
I let them set me free
And now I'm okay
Because, you see Tommy,
I've learnt it's of vital importance to have a sense of humor
When you get saddled with a brain tumor.

In cold regards,
My Remaining Brain
