Tiny poems

I heard you like reading.

what’s your favorite book?

I want to go to our community library and read it.

I feel like that’s the only way I can get into your mind.

I remember walking outside in the dead of winter.

That house is a fucking nightmare.

I’m looking at the sky in a car at 8:04 at night. The more i stare at these little stars the more I think about if you’re staring at them too. I know you’re not. You’re probably smelling the stench of laundry detergent. I’ve fallen in love with this star. I hope when I die I can hold my star. I want to escape into it. Explore the temperature. I wonder if I’ll freeze or burn.

It doesn’t matter how much I hate that tile floor or those ugly brown chairs.

The only thing I saw was that $10 glass heart I got you that says, “I love you mama”.

I worked so hard for that little piece of glass.

8 years old.

I remembered that your favorite perfume had a pink tint so I payed an extra $2 for the prettiest pink ribbon to wrap around your glass.

You cried when you saw it, even though I knew you peaked in the bag when I was showering.

It’s a blessing and a curse.

Sometimes I wish I believed in God.

Haha.

You threw it away after you got over me.
