TIMELESS

Timeless - L.E. Moon

There may come a time where I may not be here.

A time when I will become my worst fear.

So don’t fret when my presence isn’t clear.
‘Cause I might not always be near.

It may be unfair.

Like an innocent electric chair.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t care,

Just know that I won’t always be there.

You might not know what to say.

You might fall apart like clay.

But you will be okay,

Even though I will eventually be away.

I will not lie.

I couldn’t ever try.

So you shouldn’t cry,

‘Cause one day, I might say goodbye.

I can never stay in my lane.

I can’t be bound; for there is no chain.

But while I might not seem sane,

I can assure, it’ll be like I got on a plane.

I know what I said,

That I’d never use the lead.

But don’t lose your head,

For one day, I might not get out of bed.

I know I might seem mad.

Like my batteries have gone bad.

But don’t be sad,

‘Cause one day, I will be what you once had.
