TIME TO SAY SORRY

The time has come, the moment is here,
To face up to the mistakes and wipe away the tears,
To take responsibility, admit what's been done,
And seek to make things right, one by one.

The words may be hard, the feelings may even sting,
But it's important to own up to everything,
To offer a sincere apology, with no excuse,
And show that I'm willing to make a truce.

I'm sorry for the things I said,
That broke your heart and hurt your head.
I'm sorry for the times I yelled,
And for the times I made you swell.

I'm sorry for the way I acted,
When I was mad and when I lacked.
I'm sorry for the way I made you feel,
And for the way I made you kneel.

I'm sorry for the times I made you cried,
And for the times I made you hide.
I'm sorry for the way I acted,
And for the way I reacted.

I'm sorry for the way I fought,
And for the way I made you distraught.
I'm sorry for the way I treated you,
And for the way I made you blue.

I'm sorry for the way I made you feel,
And for the way I made you kneel.
I'm sorry for the way I acted,
And for the way I reacted.

I'm sorry for the words I said,
That caused you pain and filled you with dread.
I'm sorry for the times I even lied,
And for the times I made you cry.

I'm sorry for the way I treated you,
And for the way I made you blue.
I'm sorry for the way I acted,
And for the way I reacted.

But most of all, I'm sorry for not being the one,
To make it up to you and make it undone.
I'm sorry for the way I acted,
And for the way I reacted.
