Time to go

Bottled up inside

Are things that I never said,

The temptations that I hide

The lines you never read

Look at my eyes,

Read my face,

Trapped inside are lies,

The past I can’t replace

With childhood memories that linger

And don't seem to go away,

To repeat one more time but don’t hinder,

Today’s a brand new day.

The thoughts and feelings I have now,

Won’t disappear overnight,

But somehow, someway everything will be alright,

I’m eventually leaving

To slay the foe

Fight my battles

High and low

Leaving my parents

Watch me go

Please wish me luck today

I want to see, hear and touch,

Though there are dangers and fears,

I’ll smile my smiles and wipe my tears

Please let me speak my say

Off to find, my goals and dreams.

Sew my seams

Remember as I sail my seas

I’ll love you all the way.
