Time

You know that stupid saying,

“Time heals all wounds”

That’s only partially true

Time itself isn’t what heal the wounds

Time is just there

Acceptance is what heals the wounds

You can’t accept something in a night

And expect to be better the next day

That’s where time comes in

It takes dedication

To accept what happens

You can’t write an essay in an hour

You can’t write a book in a night

You can’t get a degree in a week

Things take time

A cut needs air to breathe,

So do you

Stop suffocating yourself thinking about one thing

Overthinking everything

Stuck in the past

I’m sorry but it won’t help

You can’t breathe with a plastic bag over your head

Let your mind have a second to stop

Just lie down

And count your breathing

It’ll be okay

In time
