Tighter, Please

I apologize for the imposition
But may I ask for a bit of help?
You see, my mask keeps slipping off.
And no matter how hard I tie it in place,
I can't tie it tight enough,
So it always comes loose.
It keeps letting my tears,
And my fears,
And my doubts
Fall out.

I'd like to see if you can get it
If you can tie it tight
Then nothing can escape.
No, don't take it off!
It needs to stay in place,
So it can cover up my face.
If you leave it loose like that,
It will break and hit the floor
And then no one will even see me
Anymore.
