Tick Tock

The clock strikes one

You wait for the bell to ring

Allowing you to go to the one most hated class

English

Books pile up in your locker

Because you have no space at home

Tick , RING 1'o-clock

1:05 The second bell rings

The time slows down and ugh

It can never end

Hello Shakespeare, hello Frost, hello Carrell

Words flutter into your mind

And form a small sentence

The thesis for the essay

You never could complete

The teacher comes closer and closer

Time slows down to milliseconds

She takes two steps closer

Tick tock

You write down another sentence

Tick tock

One step away

Tick

Looks over at you

Tock

Reaches for the paper

Tick

You write the last sentence down in a hurry

The paper meets her hand and she smiles

Like a devil would do in church

The bell rings and the only thing in your mind

Was how loud the clock was

Tick tock
