Through A Lifetime

And so they walked

As one as two

Through fields of snow

Through fields of grass

And neither knowing where they go

Not gentleman or fair young lass

And on they walked

As one as two

Past village church

Past sturdy home

Yet never stopping once to search

For where their steady feet did roam

And thus they walked

As one as two

To field of loss

To blessed land

Both to rest beneath wooden cross

In Heaven, no need to make new plans
