Through Her Eyes

I remembered once being there,

It felt so familiar.

The warmth of the lights,

Working against stage fright,

The round of applause,

The audiences dropped jaws.

It couldn’t have been me though

Couldn’t have been me

The movement erased

As I stare at her face

I left her down

They’ll know all over town

That this is me

Failure is me.
