Thirst For Love

Location

Three feet tall little gold curls,   Sparkling blue eyes, alone as she twirls.                                        Flowers falling from her hands.   Tiny bare feet upon the sand.                                                           No one can see the tears in her eyes,   No one but the stars in the sky.                                                It's dark all day, dark all night.   Mommy and Daddy are nowhere in sight.                                             Thirsting for love, hoping for care.   Someone to hold and play with her hair.                                       But for now she's all alone,    With her skin down to the bone.                                                               But through the darkness, all the while,    The girl just twirls, with a smile.
