Things life has taught me

Dear life,

Thank you for showing me that

We are damaged,

We are stunning.

Our pain runs through our veins.

This passion we hold gives us the ability

To create and destroy.

Life isn't about the material

It's about the experience.

The touch of others,

laughs,

And tears.

Society has blinded

Us to the point

We see strangers in our reflection.

Our souls are contaminated with

Injustice, ignorance, and numbness.

Ba dum ba dum ba dum

We are alive.

In the midst of all this mess

We are alive.

Many of our hearts are weak.

If we know pain

Why do we continue to stay silent?

Shout for the weak

Jump to be heard.

Open not only your mind but soul.

As humans we have to

Understand equality

At the end we're all hurting

And

Trying to find the light.
