These Tears Inside

Mon, 08/25/2014 - 22:29 -- lh22541

Don't cry, don't cry

Tears leaking out of the corners of my eyes

The muscle behind my nose clenching

Breathing, in and out

Shuddering, aching, its gone

Shower off, sauntering out

Ignoring the mirror before me

I'm drying and reclothing

Climbing up the stairs to my family

Saying hello, how are you?

And, thanks, I'm great.

Watching from the kitchen table

The baby squealing, younger brother chattering

Father laughing over the phone

I'm not sure why I feel this way

Hidden, the scenery

This shell around me,

Where did it come from?

Leave me, let me free

I cry
