These Past Few Years

In these past few years,

The family has changed.

From graduations to marriages,

Dad, you would be surprise.

You were the proud father

Of seven happy children.

Now we are seven adults

Living our dreams.

I began my career into pharmacy,

While my sister planned her wedding.

Our dreams are getting bigger,

Each year that you’ve been gone.

You were never completely gone.

You were always in our hearts,

Watching over us, guiding us.

Dad, you are a worrywart.

I wish you were here

To see how much we have grown.

In these past few years, Dad,

We still love you.
