There is a civil war

There is a civil war taking place

But not with guns; not with violence

Chaos is Not ensuing as a country turns against itsself

Still there is a civil war taking place

Between my thoughts; between my actions

In the world of right and wrong

What to do and what not to do

How far is too far

How much is too much

Before I break

There is a civil war taking place

Can i spiral and have it go so far

Do I not care

Or do I care too much

Am I trying to prove it to you

Or convince myself

How can I be so sure but so unsure

How can I be in a room full of people and feel so alone

There is a civil war taking place

What does my family want me to do

What do my friends want me to do

What does society want me to do

What do I want to do
