There Is A Certain Horse I Know

There is a certain horse I know-Famous in the history of racing-

Some say-He is-The horse God built-Others-Nothing more than a miracle-

His coat a shiny red-There is a certain horse I know-

One who won the 1937 Triple Crown and

Set unbeaten records on dirt and synthetic-

There’s a bible passage that was often used to describe this racehorse-

“Do you give the horse his strength? Or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?-

He paws fiercely-He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; He does not shy away from the sword.

The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance.

In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; He cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.”

This majestic and amazing racehorse was originally named Big Red

But his name was changed to Secretariat when he was entered into his first race.

This horse-Secretariat-Not only has a special place in my heart-

But also happens to be my racehorse of a horse-To this day.
