If we assume a subject is born into a realm with an average conciousnes and a virtual reality is developed to identically mimic said subjects realm then a device could be created to be inserted into subjects mind to control ideas while subject is sleeping. The device could then be disconnected from the subject before they wake to create the effect of continuity. For maximum control the user of the device would have to be working alone. 

I woke up and forgot everything.

She looked at me and said she would do anything.

Soon I realized that I was sleeping.

I took the heart shaped token into my palm.

I felt the beat and tried to remain calm.

My whole life I have been waiting for the bomb.

When the moment arrives and I die

will I turn to dust or ascend to sky?

Will time freeze?

If I hold my tongue it will and in an instant nothing will mean what it's supposed to.
