are the books my ancestors dreamed to be in

I have become those dreams,

taking it for granted as well as using it wisely.

No more do I wait.

No more do I have to desire, because I have,

the passionate dream that many black ancestors children have not experienced.

Because people our color and before our time

have taken a chance;

taken a stand.

I can be
