To the sky so blue,

the grass so green,

the lavender whispering in the summer breeze.

The laughter ringing down the hall,

And Grandma's voice on the phone,

The smell of homemade cooking,

A porch swing on the front deck swinging,

Lemonade being sipped in the setting sun,

Thankful for another one.

Ravens call, through the brambles,

Dogs playing through the yard,

Birds singing-

"How thankful are we to the Lord."

Sister dancing to music of her own making,

Mama sewing newfound creations,

Grandpa and Dad playing cribbage on the table,

How thankful I am that God gave me all this to ramble.

My family
My country
Our world
