I am thankful for so many things:

My guitar and my voice to sing,

My writing gift, my page and pen,

This site here, how great it's been!

 

I'm thankful for my family's home,

For health and no more broken bones,

For friends and those who love me too,

For all the things that I can do,

 

I'm thankful for the chance to teach,

For all the kiddos I can reach,

So grateful for love on the go,

For dance, and theatre, arts, and show,

 

I'm thankful for my Grandpa Smith

Hanging on to hopes, not myths,

For all my cousins and my brothers,

For my dad and so calm mother

 

I'm thankful for this time of year

To think, reflect as in a mirror

On all that's happened, all I've done

And on all the times God's fought and won

 

I'm thankful for so many things

For snow, and trees, and bells to ring

For all the ways God's blessed me so

I'm thankful for the places I'll go

 

I'm thankful now for poems and rhyme

That I can come here anytime

And pour my heart out, again and again

I'm so thankful for you, dear friend ~
