People feel.

They laugh, They cry,The scream.

Whose job is it to solidify these feelings? 

Who is it that proves their existence at all?

It is the Writer. It is the Poet.

It is the Writer's job to etch emotion into stone, 

carve delight into a tree,

connect the emotional world to the material world.

Who are we lonely souls without the Writer? 

Clumsy communicators,

fumbling with spoken word 

attempting to speak life into the air 

trying to transfer the emotion in our hearts to a toaster.

The Writer is the Bridge,

The connection between what is felt and that which can be held,

treasured,

remembered
