Terrifying
The whistling sound
Which was once terrifying
Now numb and part of everyday
The bodies of friends and foe,
Lay across the Earth.
But all too soon
Red stains green, green turns red,
Brown covers red, and red becomes brown.
Home long gone
Yet life there goes on
My survival is slim
They say victory will be won
I keep saying the deaths aren’t in vain.
But we all know,
War on paper is one thing
This poem is about:
Our world
