Misery loves company

As does joy and misery

Who doesn't long for companionship

Seeking like minds for friendship

When the curtains close

And you find yourself alone

Walking into an empty home

You need not long for someone else

You always have yourself

I don't know about you

But I'm enough for me

My life may be a teeter totter

Forever switching sides

My split personalities always starting fights

Sometimes I choose to just hold myself tight

And never let go

I let myself know

That at the end of the day

Through the sunshine and the rain

I am here to stay

I always understand and never question

I always know the final lesson

Companionship might be great

But I have myself at the end of the day

The best person I know

And I'm my very own

I am a beautful person

And although we fight

For better or worse

I'm the love of my life
