teenage mess
Sweatpants, t-shirt, hair tied in a knot,
fuzzy socks, cozy blanket, she wears them a lot.
Laptop on her leg, slurpee on her side,
slouching on a pillow, in her messy bed she resides.
Cheese stick wrappers, cheezit boxes, cheese is all she eats,
piles of clothes, stacks of books, her room is never neat.
Tired eyes, endless papers, studying never ends,
twitter ranting, texting and more texting, is where her time is rather spent.
Blasting music of all different sorts: classical, Ed Sheeran, or Lorde,
what a lovely singer she is as she screeches out each and every chord.
Her world is spinning, she's been through so much, she feels so alone.
A teenage mess, broken in distress, keeps it all inside as she groans.
She feels like she has the world on her shoulders, so much stress and demand,
but what she forgets is that she has control, of where her beautiful future will land.
