Taste of Romance

Sat, 10/15/2016 - 22:47 -- Dtodd18

You looked at me

like I was

a piece of art.

I was panicked to let you

take a

look into my heart.

I should have known

you were different

from the start.

But nobody knows

everything.

Even if

they’re

smart.

You saw my

broken heart

and how I

barely made it.

But you taught me

how to smile

when you called my heart

mosaic.

You made me a promise

to never, ever

forsake it.

And unlike all the rules,

you told me you wouldn’t

break it.

Why didn’t I

Expect that I’d ever

fall in love?

I mean it wasn’t even slowly,

I took a

full force

shove.

Now I don’t know which way’s up,

maybe it’s

above.

Because when you live this

lifestyle,

clueless you

become.
