Talking to Snapdragons

Wed, 09/28/2016 - 01:10 -- s128056

They talk to me.

The decapitated heads are

sprinkled around my feet.

Each with their jaw closed tight,

waiting for the opportunity

to speak.

Didn't I think my sibling

would never stop being close?

Did I care?

Didn't we used to force

the dragon's mouths apart

creating conversation?

I know I'm not the only one

who can't sleep in the dark.

I know he's not the only one

who can't sleep with light.

Brother, I am so separated.

So alone.
