A Tale To Tell

Every day she stares into her bathroom mirror for hours, questioning who it really is that is staring back.

Dark eyes that once held joy, love, mischief and were always crinkling around the edges with silent laughter now showed only fatigue, mistrust, and a desperate longing to feel anything at all.

Lips that once bore broad smiles and cheerful giggles now held only deafening silence, the words she once spoke so boldly trapped, forever echoing inside her head.

All she sees is a tired face indented with lines. All she sees is an empty shell of who she used to be.
