Taking off the Mask

She steps out the door and puts on her mask

looking at the land, open and vast

once she steps into school she tries to be who they want her to be

but will she ever be able to be the real girl she can be

Shes not what they see

Shes not as dark as she seems

They only see what she wants them to see

shell never be who she really wants to be

Fragile yet strong

but her mask only shows the strength, as if nothing was wrong

If they could see the girl she could be

it could be a catastrophe

for she cant have them see what she is thinking

her soul dancing and souring and singing

about music and muay thai and Taekwondo

punk rock, and metal, and mosh-pits galore

but what they see is a girl

quiet and sweet

but inside shes a rocker, with a fun personality

loving and caring

but awesome and daring

adrenaline rushes and rock music blushes

that's the real girl behind this mask

and showing it off is quite the task

pay no attention to the girl behind the curtain

because if you do, you may see how much she may be hurting

but not only that but how strong she can be

once she removes this mask, i can finally be me

another twist to this story is that this girl is me
