Taking the Leap

Tie rope around my feet,
anchor them down for when I fall,
Because if when you take my hands,
I am sure I cannot crawl.

Take no heed to my pleas,
when you smile across the room,
You make me fall to my knees
when you lead me to my doom.

Falling in love is not a danger,
not the darkness when we sleep.
But it is the jump over the puddle,
of us taking the leap.
